CORE VALUES

Core values are guiding principles or assumptions or beliefs that will guide how we act. They are what we are willing to die for or bleed for. Our behaviors, or time expended, are among the best measures of our true values. Typically we could list 40 to 50 values for our district, but these six values represent the foundational principles of our movement.

We consider it urgent to reach lost people. We believe that urgency is the basis of our desire to personally introduce Jesus to entire communities of people, who otherwise face an impending eternal separation from God.

We believe in starting all kinds of churches reaching all kinds of people. We believe that people of all generations and ethnic backgrounds living in rural, suburban and urban Iowa need to hear about Jesus.

We value the future. We believe our past provides a root for our future harvest. We believe God has given our existing churches the opportunity to plant and harvest some of the most exciting churches yet to be grown in Iowa.

We consider it essential to start churches that will reproduce daughter congregations.  C. Peter Wagner has said, "There are more churches on birth control than people..." We believe that churches (both existing and future) will discover among their most satisfying and mature accomplishments the reproduction of themselves in a daughter congregation.
