ABOUT US

Over 150 years ago, Swedish immigrants navigated up the Mississippi River, establishing the first Baptist General Conference (BGC) churches in the USA--initially,  in Iowa & Illinois.

The Iowa Baptist Conference (IBC) is a voluntary relationship of 40 churches, over 6000 worshippers, and nearly 70 pastoral staff--touching a wide range of cultures and peoples, and we are one of thirteen nation-wide districts of the Baptist General Conference (BGC).
