Maybe we should survey or ask the district churches at a meeting, what
they want the district to provide or assist with ? Let's Zero in on
what basic services we need. Special needs may need to be contracted
out somewhere else. |

Maybe we should help churches get some foundational training regarding
a Biblical worldview to combat worldly living. Maybe we should pray
more for God to reveal His plan here in Iowa. |

Maybe we should survey the IBGC members and see what services they
really desire and will support. |

Maybe we should continue to fast and pray to seek Gods Devine
direction. Yes, we should learn from other districts to see what's
fruitful and what's not, but at the end of the day Jesus should be in
charge of all things. Proverbs 16:3 We shouldn't seek the will of the
majority, or even to arrive at a compromise between each other's point
of view, but to determine the will of Jesus and accomplish the task
that are set out for IBC and the churches that the Lord has given to
oversee. |

I do not think that asking some 400 people
across the conference their opinion on how best to accomplish a
thriving and financially sound ministry is the best way to achieve our
objective. Although those opinions are very important, and should
play a vital part in the process, there is too much danger that we
will end up with no clear and, perhaps more importantly, viable
options. Instead, we may end up with 400 ideas that you have to sort
through. Furthermore, even though so many are being given the
opportunity to participate, it's very likely that derision may grow,
rather than recede, since final decisions will be made by a few.
Decisions that may likely directly contradict the expressed wishes of
many. Perhaps, before moving
forward above we need to look to those conferences that are currently
successful and/or have been in the same situation as us and pulled
themselves out …… and find out how they did it or how they are doing
it.

Maybe we should... remain IBC but look at getting information out to
congregations on problems/concerns so more are praying regarding these
issues. Maybe we should... have some concentrated prayer time as
a conference/churches/people |
